Favicon is a 16×16 pixelled tiny image with .ico extension ( favicon.ico ). Which will appear near the website url or the Website title on the Web browser. When you using firefox or google chrome, and opened multiple tabs, each tab will show that websites favicon. So it helps to easily identify the websites and the website brand. If you have a wordpress blog and not yet added a favicon, just go to favicon.cc and create your own. Its free. There you can easily convert your image to favicon also. After creating, download the favicon and upload into your blogs root directory. If the favicon file name is favicon.ico , then copy the below code and insert favicon in wordpress template ‘s header.php file.

Replace www.digitpage.com with your wordpress blog url. Now save the header.php file and check the new favicon. Make cure you cleared your web browser’s cache before testing favicon.
